We are not a typical retail establishment, we are medical providers.
Like all specialty healthcare providers, we rely on insurance reimbursement and medical referrals. Our hours of operation are consistent with insurance company provider services & medical specialist office hours. Both of which are exclusively weekday operations.
We take special care to be mindful of flexible scheduling within the confines of insurance & medical referrals. If you are trying to work around a work schedule, we recommend the following:
Coordinate this medical appt with others you may already have scheduled.
We make sure we are open on bank holidays & prioritize working ladies on these days.
If all else fails, we can arrange for later appts on a limited basis.
Nothing in life is free...
All breast care supplies prescribed along with a breast cancer diagnosis are covered by all insurance plans. Your individual plan determines HOW the supplies are covered...
Some policies have a health plan deductible, some have a co-insurance which requires you to pay a certain percentage. When you call in & provide your insurance info, we will gladly check your benefits for you and give you a ballpark quote for your out of pocket expenses.
We will gladly schedule evaluations for you. At the time you call, please be sure to have a credit card on which a $35.00 consultation fee will be charged to secure your fitting. This fee is deducted from your purchase of $100 or more.
Mechanicsville is only 3 mi. NE of Richmond. Stepping Stones Women's Center is the only fully accredited facility with full training, certifications & experience in Central Virginia.
Just like a great eye doctor, GYN, etc, it's worth driving a few miles once every year or two to have the absolute best care possible. Besides being fitted properly, we evaluate any physical or emotional issues and either help to resolve them, or refer you to the appropriate healthcare provider.
Would you have your teeth or eyes checked online or order your dentures online? Most of us would say NO! Being measured & fitted with the proper prosthesis is crucial to restoring anatomical symmetry to your musculoskeletal system... This is why insurance does not cover online purchases.
Just "throwing something" in a bra does not resolve the health issue.
